Sample MCP Server for Revit Automation (APS)by Autodesk Platform Services
Autodesk's sample HTTP server that runs Revit jobs on cloud models through the Automation API, with no desktop Revit.
Tresca tracks 12 tools in this field. 11 have at least one listed MCP server or agent skill.
Structural analysis is one of the better-served fields for AI integrations, mostly because the main analysis packages already have mature automation APIs. Bentley publishes an official MCP server for STAAD.Pro through OpenSTAAD, with a set of skills covering geometry, loading, analysis, results and steel design, and Dlubal offers an official server for RFEM and RSTAB through its API service. The CSI products (ETABS, SAP2000 and SAFE) share one API and have several community servers, with ETABS the most active.
Most of these servers drive a running copy of the program on Windows, so you need the software installed and licensed on the same machine. They can build models, apply loads and read results, but code checks and design decisions remain yours. Revit appears here too, because many structural teams model in it before analysis.

Autodesk's hosted, read-only server that searches Autodesk Help documentation for 110+ products; it answers questions but never opens a drawing or model.
Autodesk's own local MCP add-on for Revit 2027.2, in Read, Write and Experimental editions, still a technical preview.
Dlubal's MCP server for RFEM 6, RSTAB 9 and RSECTION 1: agents run API scripts and read results through the gRPC API.
Bentley's open-source server that runs sandboxed OpenSTAAD Python against the STAAD.Pro model you have open, with eleven bundled STAAD skills.
Eleven SKILL.md files bundled with Bentley's OpenSTAAD server that teach an agent STAAD.Pro modelling, loading, analysis, results and steel design.
Bentley publishes one for STAAD.Pro (OpenSTAAD MCP, with a bundled skill set) and Dlubal offers one for RFEM and RSTAB through its API service. ETABS, SAP2000, SAFE, Robot and the MIDAS programs have community servers only.
Some servers can run the program's own design checks, such as STAAD.Pro steel design, and read back utilisation ratios. The agent doesn't replace your judgement on loads, load combinations or the code clauses that apply.
Almost always. These servers drive a licensed copy of the analysis program on the same Windows machine through its API, so it must be installed, licensed and usually open.
