AI integrations for mining and geology

Tresca tracks 6 tools in this field. 2 have at least one listed MCP server or agent skill.

Mining and resource geology software has barely been touched by AI integrations. A community server works with Maptek Vulcan, and another writes Python notebooks for Datamine Studio RM that you then run against your own installation, rather than driving it directly.

Leapfrog, Surpac, Deswik and Micromine have nothing listed yet, although each can be automated: Leapfrog data through Seequent's Evo Python SDK, Surpac through Tcl macros, Deswik through .NET add-ins and process maps, and Micromine through embedded Python. Their pages describe those interfaces and what an integration could do, such as preparing drillhole data, running block model reports or checking pit designs against constraints. Resource estimates and mine plans carry reporting obligations under codes such as JORC and NI 43-101, so a competent person still has to review the work.

Questions

Is there an MCP server for Leapfrog?

No Leapfrog server is listed. Seequent's Evo platform has Python APIs for Leapfrog data, which an integration could use.

Which mining tools have integrations?

Maptek Vulcan has a community server, and a community project writes Python notebooks for Datamine Studio RM that you run yourself. Surpac, Deswik and Micromine have nothing listed.

Can AI produce a resource estimate?

An agent can help prepare data and run reports, but resource and reserve statements under codes such as JORC and NI 43-101 need a competent person's sign-off.
