Micromine AI integrations

No MCP server or agent skill for Micromine is listed yet (checked 4 Nov 2026). Micromine Origin has no MCP server or agent skill from anyone yet. Weir, which bought Micromine in April 2025, ships its own AI as Grade Copilot, a cloud machine-learning tool inside Origin subscriptions, not a connector for outside AI clients. An integration would build on Origin's macros and its embedded Python, which Micromine documents only through product and release pages.

How AI connects to Micromine

An MCP server or skill can only do what Micromine lets programs do. Micromine exposes 2 automation interfaces:

  • Embedded Python (Python): Micromine lists the Python programming language as Origin's route for automation and repetition beyond macros, and pitches it to resource geologists for customising estimation runs. Micromine 2020 reworked how Python scripts are created and managed. No public API reference was found on micromine.com, so the available functions have to be checked in the installed product's help. Documentation
  • Macros and form sets (Other): Origin macros record and replay any process, and form sets store a dialog's parameters so an estimate can be re-run and audited. Micromine's Origin release page describes macro interface changes meant to make macro creation easier. An agent working at this level would assemble form sets and macro files rather than call an API. What Micromine (Weir) offers

Grade Copilot is Micromine's AI offering: a cloud tool that uses neural networks and other machine learning to suggest grade and geology models, now included in the For Geology Modellers and For Resource Modellers subscriptions. Micromine describes it as a companion for exploring data and checking interpretations. Neither Micromine nor Weir has announced an MCP server or an API for external AI agents.

What an integration for Micromine could do

  • Write Origin Python scripts that repeat a resource estimate across domains and collect the reports, from a description of the estimation steps.
  • Read form sets from a project and explain which parameters an estimate used, as an audit trail for a resource statement.
  • Turn a recorded macro into a parameterised version that runs across several drillhole datasets.
  • Check drillhole spacing and data gaps before modelling, using the same exported data a geologist would load into Origin.

Know of one, or building one?

If an MCP server or agent skill for Micromine exists, tell us and we'll check it and list it. You can also ask for one, which helps builders see demand.

Questions

Is Grade Copilot an MCP server?

No. Grade Copilot is Micromine's machine-learning tool inside Origin, run in Micromine's cloud. It doesn't let Claude, ChatGPT or other MCP clients connect to Origin.

Is there a Micromine MCP server or skill?

None as of 4 November 2026. GitHub searches turn up only file parsers and unrelated projects with "microminer" in their names.

Can I script Micromine Origin with Python?

Yes. Micromine includes Python for automation alongside macros, so an agent can draft scripts for you to run inside Origin, but there is no external API for it to call while Origin runs.

AI-generated models, drawings and results must be checked by a qualified engineer before use.
