Vulcan MCPby LuiccianDev
Connects a running Maptek Vulcan 12 to MCP clients for block model, triangulation, drillhole and CAD queries.
Maptek Vulcan has one early community MCP server, Vulcan MCP by LuiccianDev, which runs a plugin inside Vulcan 12 Desktop and relays block model, triangulation, drillhole and CAD queries to an external Python server on Windows. Maptek itself offers no MCP server or AI assistant for Vulcan. Any integration rests on the Maptek Python modules that ship with Vulcan, and Maptek supports scripts using them only when run from within Vulcan.

Listings are sorted by origin, then by recent activity. GitHub data is refreshed nightly. Nothing here is ranked.
An MCP server or skill can only do what Vulcan lets programs do. Vulcan exposes 2 automation interfaces:
Maptek's machine learning product is DomainMCF, which generates domain boundaries from drillhole samples using cloud computing and produces block models you can open in Vulcan. Maptek's site describes no generative AI assistant, chat feature or MCP server for Vulcan as of this check.

Taken from the listings' own documentation. Check each listing for exactly what it supports.
The listings here document setup for Claude Code, Claude Desktop, Cursor, Google Antigravity and VS Code. Install steps, copied from each project's own documentation, are on each listing's page. Most Vulcan integrations run on your own computer next to Vulcan, so you need Vulcan installed and licensed on the same machine unless the listing says otherwise.
One community project, LuiccianDev/vulcan-mcp, published under Apache 2.0, connects Vulcan 12 Desktop to MCP clients such as Claude Desktop, Claude Code and Cursor. Maptek has not released an MCP server of its own.
Through Vulcan's bundled Python. The community server loads a plugin into Vulcan's embedded interpreter, which listens on a local TCP port, and an external Python 3.11 MCP server talks to it, because Maptek supports its class libraries only inside Vulcan.
mapteksdk targets Maptek applications on the shared MDF platform, listed on PyPI as PointStudio, GeologyCore, BlastLogic and Evolution. Vulcan Desktop scripting uses the separate maptek.vulcan modules documented in the Vulcan help.
Treat it as a local tool for one session. The plugin listens on 127.0.0.1:9877 with token authentication off by default, and its vulcan_execute_code tool runs any Python inside Vulcan, so close the listener window when you finish and keep the server on a trusted machine.
Maptek Vulcan 12 Desktop on Windows x64. The plugin runs in Vulcan's embedded Python 3.5.2 and the external MCP server needs Python 3.11 or newer, installed on the fly with uvx.
AI-generated models, drawings and results must be checked by a qualified engineer before use.
