SAFE MCP (AECOMCPS)by SHMH-MCPs (aecomcps.com)
A free, closed-source CSI SAFE server for slabs, mats, footings, post-tensioning, punching shear and SAFE tables.
CSI SAFE has one MCP server so far: a free but closed-source build from the AECOMCPS family that works with the slab or foundation model open in SAFE through the SAFE API. It covers slabs, mats, footings, soil springs, post-tensioning tendons, strip design and punching shear, and serves 28 workflow skills as MCP prompts. The developer reports live testing on one SAFE release; others in the 20 to 26 range are untested. CSI has no official server.

Listings are sorted by origin, then by recent activity. GitHub data is refreshed nightly. Nothing here is ranked.
An MCP server or skill can only do what CSI SAFE lets programs do. CSI SAFE exposes 1 automation interface:
No AI assistant or MCP server for SAFE has been announced by CSI; its developer page only describes the API. The SAFE server listed here is published by an independent developer under the AECOMCPS name and states it is independent of CSI.

The listings here document setup for Claude, Codex, Cursor, Gemini, VS Code (GitHub Copilot) and Windsurf. Install steps, copied from each project's own documentation, are on each listing's page. Most CSI SAFE integrations run on your own computer next to CSI SAFE, so you need CSI SAFE installed and licensed on the same machine unless the listing says otherwise.
No. The only SAFE server listed is SAFE MCP from the AECOMCPS (SHMH-MCPs) family, which is free but closed source and independent of CSI.
Its README says it is designed for SAFE 20 to 26, was live-tested on one release (23.3.1) and that punching shear and detailing output had not yet been tested there.
It can read SAFE's punching shear results through this server and report them, but the developer says the output is for the engineer's review, not proof of adequacy.
Download Install-SAFE-MCP.cmd from the latest GitHub release and run it; it checks the PC, installs without administrator rights and connects your AI clients. Or unzip the release, run safe-mcp.exe --doctor and then --setup all, restart the client and open a SAFE model.
Changes can be previewed, and deleting objects, unlocking results, replacing a model or overwriting files need your confirmation. Each change is read back and reported as confirmed or not, and a read-only mode is available if you only want reporting.
AI-generated models, drawings and results must be checked by a qualified engineer before use.
