What it can do

  • Lists slabs, mats and footings by property, thickness and material, and edits slab, drop, ribbed, waffle, mat and footing properties and openings.
  • Defines point, line and area soil springs and audits supports.
  • Creates post-tensioning tendons with profiles, jacking loads and losses, and audits them.
  • Runs analysis and reads deflections, reactions, strip-based slab design, punching shear and soil pressures; reads and bulk-edits SAFE database tables.
  • Serves 28 workflow skills as MCP prompts and offers previews, confirmations and a read-only mode.

Limitations

  • Closed source; the GitHub repository holds release files only.
  • Punching shear and detailing output had not been tested live at the time of the README.
  • Output is for the engineer's review; not affiliated with CSI.

Install

Download Install-SAFE-MCP.cmd from the latest release and double-click it, or unzip safe-mcp-<version>-win-x64.zip to a permanent folder and run safe-mcp.exe --doctor, then safe-mcp.exe --setup all. Restart your AI client and open a model in SAFE.
