SAP2000 MCP Server (Skills_SAP)by fcocarrascob
Connects Claude Code to SAP2000 over COM to run sandboxed API scripts, search API docs and keep a script library.
For SAP2000 there is one community MCP server, from the Skills_SAP project, which connects Claude Code to a local SAP2000 over COM and runs agent-written API scripts in a restricted sandbox. It comes with a sap2000-api skill explaining how SAP2000's ByRef outputs come back in Python. Both are documented in Spanish. CSI has no official server, and the project is Windows-only because SAP2000 is.

A Spanish SKILL.md on the SAP2000 COM API's ByRef return convention, script templates and a research-to-verification workflow.
Listings are sorted by origin, then by recent activity. GitHub data is refreshed nightly. Nothing here is ranked.
An MCP server or skill can only do what SAP2000 lets programs do. SAP2000 exposes 1 automation interface:
CSI has announced no AI assistant or MCP server for SAP2000. Its developer page covers the API and supported languages only. The SAP2000 server and skill listed here are an independent community project.

The listings here document setup for Claude Code. Install steps, copied from each project's own documentation, are on each listing's page. Most SAP2000 integrations run on your own computer next to SAP2000, so you need SAP2000 installed and licensed on the same machine unless the listing says otherwise.
No. CSI has not released one. The server listed here comes from the community Skills_SAP project on GitHub.
Yes, through the Skills_SAP server on a Windows PC with SAP2000 open. You register it at user scope with claude mcp add, call connect_sap2000 once per session, and the agent can then run scripts and API functions against the model.
Over COM, Python receives the ByRef parameters as a list with the return code at the end. The sap2000-api skill tells the agent that this order is the reverse of the VBA signature and that the last element is always the return code to check.
Not from agent scripts. The sandbox allows only maths, JSON, date and collection modules and blocks os, subprocess, sockets, pickle and all file input and output, with a 120-second timeout. Saving goes through SAP2000's own File.Save into a temporary folder the server provides.
AI-generated models, drawings and results must be checked by a qualified engineer before use.
