What it can do

  • Connects to a new or running SAP2000 instance and calls any API function by its dot path.
  • Runs agent-written Python in a sandbox with SapModel and SapObject pre-injected, a 120-second timeout and blocked file and system imports.
  • Searches bundled SAP2000 API documentation and a registry of tested function signatures.
  • Saves working scripts to a library so they can be found and reused later; examples include beams, domes, an industrial shed with NCh2745 seismic loads and base plates.

Limitations

  • README and most documentation are in Spanish.
  • Windows only; register the server with absolute paths because the project's .mcp.json leaves mcpServers empty.
  • The PySide6 desktop tools in the repository are separate from the MCP server.
