What it can do
- The Read edition has 8 tools to query the model, get element data and the active context, select, show and export views, without changing anything.
- The Write edition adds parameter edits and moving and rotating elements, for 11 tools.
- The Experimental edition has 39 tools, adding sheets, section and plan views, schedules, rooms and room boundaries, tagging, deletion and gbXML and IFC export.
- The installer writes the Claude Desktop config on machines where Claude Desktop is installed.
Limitations
- Technical preview; Autodesk says tools and behaviour may change before general availability.
- Supported on Revit 2027.2 only; earlier Revit releases aren't covered.
- Write and Experimental editions change the model, so Autodesk advises backing it up and reviewing proposed changes first.
- Cursor has to be configured by hand during the preview, using the Windows short path.
