What it can do

  • Lists 125 tools, 46 of them read-only, covering architectural, structural and MEP modelling, families, sheets, CAD-to-BIM, quantities, Excel and Power BI exports.
  • Typed reinforcement rules for laps, anchorage and bars crossing hosts, with a geometry check after commit.
  • Starts each session with a 14-tool profile and opens more toolsets on request, so smaller and local models can drive Revit with fewer tokens.
  • Owner-enabled Python for Revit API tasks the typed tools don't cover.

Limitations

  • Windows x64 only. The server and add-ins are unsigned, so Revit may warn when loading them.
  • Server and add-in must be updated together since protocol 3.
  • The author's own tests found local 8B models finish simple tasks only.

Install

Download horizun-mcp-<version>-setup.exe and SHA256SUMS.txt from the latest release, verify the hash, close Revit and run Setup. Then finish your client's connection step: Claude Desktop installs the .mcpb from Documents\Horizun-Revit-MCP under Settings > Extensions; Codex and Claude Code are registered by Setup's helper.
