What it can do

  • Submits Automation API work items that open a Revit Cloud Model headlessly, run a named tool and optionally save it.
  • Ships two sample tools, create_model and link_models, for creating a cloud model from a template and adding or removing Revit links.
  • Authenticates with APS service-to-service accounts, so no user has to sign in interactively.
  • New tools are added as a C# method in the server plus a matching case in the companion AppBundle (aps-sample-revit-mcp-tools-bundle).

Limitations

  • A sample, which Autodesk itself calls an exploratory proof of concept, not a supported product.
  • Needs an APS app with Automation API enabled, a service account and key, and a deployed Automation activity before it does anything.
