What it can do
- Runs agent-written Python scripts against a running RFEM, RSTAB or RSECTION through one script tool per product, built on the dlubal.api gRPC client.
- Reads a fixed set of RFEM result types, such as member internal forces and node deformations, through a read-only results tool.
- Detects which Dlubal applications are installed and registers only the matching tools; an environment variable can withhold the free-form script tools.
- Ships with RFEM 6 from version 6.13.0002, and can also be installed from PyPI into its own Python environment.
Limitations
- Needs a Dlubal API key and an API Service subscription. Requests made through the AI tools count toward your monthly API quota, even when the server runs locally.
- The dlubal.api package version must match your application version, so it has to be updated after each RFEM or RSTAB update.
- The script tools run whatever code the agent writes; Dlubal notes the guard is not a security sandbox.
- Python 3.14 is not supported yet; the install guide is written for the Windows Command Prompt.
