SolidworksMCP-pythonby andrewbartels1
A Python server with about 150 SOLIDWORKS tools for parts, assemblies, drawings with BOMs, and model checks.
Several open-source MCP servers and one agent skill drive SOLIDWORKS through its COM API, so they need Windows and a running, licensed copy on the same machine. They sketch, build features, mate assemblies and draw, and most read back mass, volume or interference so the agent can check its work. ForgeMCP sells a paid desktop bridge that adds PDM search. Dassault Systèmes has no SOLIDWORKS MCP server; most community projects are tested on SOLIDWORKS 2025 or 2026 only.
A Python server with about 150 SOLIDWORKS tools for parts, assemblies, drawings with BOMs, and model checks.
Separate Windows MCP servers for CATIA V5, Siemens NX and SOLIDWORKS, kept in one repository with test scripts.
88 typed SOLIDWORKS tools that report measured volume, mass and size after every step, with no code-execution tool.
Turns feature-level design intent into SOLIDWORKS operations and can rebuild parts from DXF or DWG drawings.
A Node.js SOLIDWORKS server that routes long COM calls through generated VBA macros. Alpha, mostly untested live.
Builds SOLIDWORKS parts and mated assemblies from plain-language requests, with face queries and labelled screenshots.
A compact SOLIDWORKS server with 22 tools for documents, sketches, extrudes, fillets and chamfers.
A paid desktop bridge with 50 SOLIDWORKS and PDM tools, sold as an add-on to ForgeMCP subscriptions. Early access beta.
A skill, MCP server and desktop app that drive SOLIDWORKS and check each deliverable before calling it done.
Listings are sorted by origin, then by recent activity. GitHub data is refreshed nightly. Nothing here is ranked.
An MCP server or skill can only do what SOLIDWORKS lets programs do. SOLIDWORKS exposes 2 automation interfaces:
Dassault Systèmes ships AI "virtual companions" rather than an MCP server. AURA arrived with SOLIDWORKS 2026 and searches, summarises and translates content stored on the 3DEXPERIENCE platform and 3DSwym. LEO and AURA were offered in SOLIDWORKS 2026 FD01 through a SOLIDWORKS Labs (Beta) tab, and MARIE was added later. They focus on design guidance and knowledge, and need a licence connected to the 3DEXPERIENCE platform. No SOLIDWORKS MCP server had been announced by 4 November 2026.

Taken from the listings' own documentation. Check each listing for exactly what it supports.
The listings here document setup for ChatGPT, ChatGPT desktop, Claude, Claude Code, Claude Desktop, Codex, Cursor, Grok, LM Studio and VS Code. Install steps, copied from each project's own documentation, are on each listing's page. Most SOLIDWORKS integrations run on your own computer next to SOLIDWORKS, so you need SOLIDWORKS installed and licensed on the same machine unless the listing says otherwise.
No. As of 4 November 2026 Dassault Systèmes has not published one; its AI work for SOLIDWORKS goes into the AURA, LEO and MARIE companions on the 3DEXPERIENCE platform. Every server listed here is a community project, apart from ForgeMCP, which is a paid third-party product.
Yes. Install one of the community servers on the Windows PC where SOLIDWORKS is installed, open SOLIDWORKS, and register the server in Claude Desktop or Claude Code. Claude then calls the COM API through the server to sketch, add features, mate parts and export files in your session.
Not for driving SOLIDWORKS, because the COM API exists only on Windows. One server offers a mock mode on Linux for trying the tools, but it returns simulated results. On a Mac you would need a Windows machine or virtual machine running SOLIDWORKS.
It varies by project. Several are tested only on SOLIDWORKS 2026; one targets 2022 and later and was tested on 2025; others state 2021 to 2025 or 2023 to 2025. ForgeMCP requires 2024 or newer. Check each listing before you rely on an older release.
AURA is Dassault's built-in assistant for guidance and for searching platform content. An MCP server lets an outside AI client such as Claude operate SOLIDWORKS itself, creating and changing geometry through the API.
AI-generated models, drawings and results must be checked by a qualified engineer before use.
