How AI connects to 3DEXPERIENCE / ENOVIA

An MCP server or skill can only do what 3DEXPERIENCE / ENOVIA lets programs do. 3DEXPERIENCE / ENOVIA exposes 2 automation interfaces:

  • 3DEXPERIENCE web services and developer guides (REST API): ENOVIA data lives on the 3DEXPERIENCE platform rather than in local files, so an integration would call platform services over the network instead of driving a desktop process. Dassault's documentation page lists user guides for V6 and 3DEXPERIENCE apps and V5 and V6 developer guides and toolkits; the developer documentation itself opens behind a 3DEXPERIENCE ID sign-in. Any MCP server for ENOVIA data would need a platform account and would inherit that account's access rights. Documentation
  • CATIA V5 desktop automation (for comparison) (COM automation): Teams that still run CATIA V5 can already connect agents through its COM interface, which the CATIA V5 servers on Tresca use. That route does not reach 3DEXPERIENCE data or CATIA on 3DEXPERIENCE, and one CATIA server lists 3DEXPERIENCE support as an open contribution request. Documentation

What Dassault Systemes offers

Dassault Systèmes delivers AI on 3DEXPERIENCE as virtual companions. AURA can search, edit, summarise, simplify and translate content stored on the platform and in 3DSwym, and SOLIDWORKS 2026 connects to it; LEO and MARIE followed in 2026. None of these is an MCP server that outside AI clients can call. A community member has posted an early MCP server for a SysML v2 REST API on 3DSwym, but it targets systems-modelling data, not ENOVIA PLM objects.

What an integration for 3DEXPERIENCE / ENOVIA could do

  • Search ENOVIA for parts, documents or requirements by attribute and return their maturity state and owner.
  • Read a product structure from 3DSpace and compare it with an ERP or CATIA V5 BOM.
  • Draft a change action with affected items for an engineer to review and submit, without releasing anything itself.
  • Create, link and delete requirements in bulk, a task one unfinished community project set out to automate.

No. They automate CATIA V5 through its Windows COM interface. One project lists 3DEXPERIENCE CATIA support as a wanted contribution.
