What it can do
- Attaches to the running SOLIDWORKS session over COM and returns measured geometry after each feature, so the agent can compare the part with the specification.
- Creates fully defined sketches with dimensions returned by role, so parts stay editable by hand.
- Covers Hole Wizard holes, ISO metric threads, sweeps, lofts, sheet bodies, assemblies with mates and interference checks, drawings, and STEP, STL and 3MF export.
- Exposes no arbitrary-code tool and makes no network calls; failed calls return an explicit error.
- Includes a --selftest command that builds test parts and checks them against hand calculations.
Limitations
- SOLIDWORKS must already be running; the server does not launch it.
- Needs a Y-up part template and refuses Z-up parts.
- Version 0.x; tool names and conventions may still change.
