What it can do
- Connects to a running SOLIDWORKS instance and finds the installation through the Windows registry.
- Creates parts and assemblies, draws circles, rectangles, arcs and polygons, and extrudes or cuts them.
- Lists features and switches the working unit between mm, cm, m, inch and foot.
- Includes an execute_python tool for custom code in the SOLIDWORKS context.
Limitations
- Windows 10 or 11 only.
- Feature coverage is limited to basic part modelling; there are no drawing or mate tools.
- The execute_python tool runs arbitrary code, so review what the agent sends.
