Aspen Plus MCP server (vishalkaay)by vishalkaay
About 40 PowerShell tools that build and run Aspen Plus cases in a visible window you can watch.
Community MCP servers drive a licensed Aspen Plus on Windows through its COM automation interface: they open .bkp and .apw files, change block and stream inputs, run the case and read results back, and several can build flowsheets from scratch. Skill packs, two of them written in Chinese, add convergence and design know-how. AspenTech has no official MCP server; most projects state V14 or V15, and none runs without a local Aspen Plus licence.

52 Aspen Plus tools, nine optimisers and a workbench window that logs each AI change for review.
A local HTTP server with 38 Aspen Plus tools over COM, including NSGA-II multi-objective optimisation.
A Chinese-language Codex plugin of 19 Aspen Plus design skills, with equipment sizing and optional MCP.
Drives Aspen Plus V15 over COM, with RadFrac Column Internals tools for tray and packed hydraulics.
Research server with 42 typed Aspen Plus tools, a spec-to-flowsheet builder, EO optimisation and costing.
75 COM tools for Aspen Plus V15: parameter changes, runs, columns, reactions and convergence checks.
Opens, runs and edits Aspen Plus files over COM on Windows, reading and writing values by tree path.
A Chinese Codex skill to build and repair Aspen Plus models, checking property and kinetic data on entry.
A skill and toolkit that runs Aspen Plus from a JSON flowsheet and draws editable PFDs from .bkp files.
Listings are sorted by origin, then by recent activity. GitHub data is refreshed nightly. Nothing here is ranked.
An MCP server or skill can only do what Aspen Plus lets programs do. Aspen Plus exposes 2 automation interfaces:
AspenTech, now an Emerson company, offers the Aspen Virtual Advisor (AVA) generative AI assistant; the V15 release expanded it to help users understand model results inside the product. In May 2026 Emerson described AVA as an industrial AI platform with agentic advisors for operations software. Neither announcement mentions MCP or outside agents driving Aspen Plus, so every server listed here is a community project.

Taken from the listings' own documentation. Check each listing for exactly what it supports.
The listings here document setup for Claude Code, Claude Desktop, Codex, Cursor, DeepSeek Harness, Gemini CLI, OpenClaw, Reasonix and VS Code. Install steps, copied from each project's own documentation, are on each listing's page. Most Aspen Plus integrations run on your own computer next to Aspen Plus, so you need Aspen Plus installed and licensed on the same machine unless the listing says otherwise.
No, not as of 4 November 2026. AspenTech's AI effort is the Aspen Virtual Advisor inside its own products. Every Aspen Plus server on this page is a community project that uses the documented COM automation interface.
Yes, if Claude Code or Claude Desktop runs on the Windows PC that has Aspen Plus installed and licensed. The MCP server starts or attaches to Aspen Plus through COM, so it can't reach a copy on another machine and won't work on macOS or Linux.
Most state V14 or V15 (GUI version 40.0 or 41.0). One PowerShell server says V11 or newer and another V12 to V15. Node paths in the variable tree can change between versions, so test a server on a copy of your own case first.
The milklong888 plugin and the luxiaoguo0225 skill are written in Chinese. An agent can still follow them, but you'll need a translator to review what they tell it to do. The other listings have English documentation.
It can if the server saves the case. The vishalkaay server opens files as working copies, and Aspen Co-pilot shows every change in a workbench window with undo. For the others, check how saving works, keep a backup and point the agent at a copy.
AI-generated models, drawings and results must be checked by a qualified engineer before use.
