HYSYS MCP Serverby yuuyo-arobet
51 HYSYS tools over COM; by default it only reads and saves cases, and writes must be switched on.
One community MCP server drives Aspen HYSYS on Windows through its COM type library with 51 tools, and starts in a safe mode that only reads and saves cases until you allow writes. A separate Codex skill takes over an existing, converged case for limited edits and reporting. Both were tested on HYSYS V14, and the skill also on V15. AspenTech publishes no HYSYS MCP server, and each project needs a licensed local install.

A Codex skill for bounded changes to existing Aspen HYSYS cases, with a strict convergence gate.
Listings are sorted by origin, then by recent activity. GitHub data is refreshed nightly. Nothing here is ranked.
An MCP server or skill can only do what Aspen HYSYS lets programs do. Aspen HYSYS exposes 2 automation interfaces:
HYSYS V15 includes the Aspen Virtual Advisor (AVA), AspenTech's built-in generative AI helper for explaining model results. Emerson's 2026 announcement of AVA as an enterprise platform describes advisors for operations products and a trial site, with no MCP server or external agent access to HYSYS cases mentioned. As of this check, there is nothing official for connecting Claude or another agent to HYSYS.

Taken from the listings' own documentation. Check each listing for exactly what it supports.
The listings here document setup for Claude Code, Claude Desktop and Codex. Install steps, copied from each project's own documentation, are on each listing's page. Most Aspen HYSYS integrations run on your own computer next to Aspen HYSYS, so you need Aspen HYSYS installed and licensed on the same machine unless the listing says otherwise.
No. AspenTech's generative AI for HYSYS is the Aspen Virtual Advisor inside the product. The HYSYS MCP server and skill here are independent community projects.
Only if you let it. The yuuyo-arobet server starts with 27 tools that read and save; the remaining tools that change conditions, run solvers or add equipment are blocked until you switch safe mode off. The AI-HYSYS-Skill limits itself to bounded edits of a case that already runs.
The MCP server says V12 or later and was tested on V14. The skill passed basic tests on V14 and V15. Older versions weren't tested.
The server's README is mainly Japanese with an English summary, and the skill's README mixes English and Chinese. Tool names in both are English.
AI-generated models, drawings and results must be checked by a qualified engineer before use.
