What it can do
- Checks the Windows, Python, pywin32 and HYSYS COM set-up, and can create and save a small test case to prove the connection.
- Helps the agent pick a control route, direct HYSYS COM or a spreadsheet or Aspen Simulation Workbook bridge, then make bounded parameter changes on a working copy.
- Requires repeated solve, read-back and save-reopen checks before a case counts as converged, so an idle solver isn't taken as success.
- Exports machine-readable results, rearranges the native PFD on a workcopy and helps assemble a review-stage basic process package.
Limitations
- Built to take over cases that people have already built and run; the author doesn't claim reliable from-scratch HYSYS model building.
- Automatic PFD label placement stops where label ownership can't be proven, which the author found was the case in the V14 and V15 sample views.
- Complex flowsheets and plug-ins need checking separately on each version.
