What it can do
- Reads streams, unit operations, column profiles and specs, components, fluid packages and solver status, and checks material balances.
- Opens, closes and saves cases and switches between open cases and HYSYS instances.
- With writes enabled, changes stream conditions and unit parameters, runs the solver, adjusts column specs and runs case studies.
- Creates, connects and deletes streams and unit operations; build tools do a dry run unless you confirm.
Limitations
- Windows only; the server needs native Windows Python, though Claude Code itself can run in WSL.
- The author warns that write tools can freeze HYSYS, which is why the default mode hides them.
- Building needs a case that already has components and a fluid package, and disconnecting a stream isn't possible through the V14 COM interface.
- The README is mainly in Japanese, with a short English summary.
