PRO/II AI integrations

No MCP server or agent skill for PRO/II is listed yet (checked 4 Nov 2026). No MCP server or skill for PRO/II is listed yet. AVEVA's steady-state simulator keeps its COM and keyword-input reference in the product's own help, while the public, documented route is the C# SimulationClient in AVEVA's Integration Service SDK. Its sister product, AVEVA Process Simulation, has one academic MCP server, and AVEVA's announced MCP work covers operations software rather than PRO/II.

How AI connects to PRO/II

An MCP server or skill can only do what PRO/II lets programs do. PRO/II exposes 2 automation interfaces:

  • AVEVA Integration Service SimulationClient (C#) (.NET): The Integration Service Data API SDK has a SimulationClient class for simulation products, and AVEVA's documentation says it supports both SimCentral and PRO/II simulations. That makes it the one PRO/II interface with public documentation, and a reasonable base for a server that reads and writes values in PRO/II cases from C#. Documentation
  • COM server, keyword files and Excel (COM automation): The product page says you can create custom models and reports through Microsoft Excel, and an AVEVA Learning Academy course on PRO/II 2022 lists a new COM function among its changes. The COM and keyword input reference ships as the in-product online help (Help, then Contents) rather than on AVEVA's public docs site, so check it on a licensed installation before you plan an integration. What AVEVA offers

AVEVA's May 2026 announcement at AVEVA World promised MCP integrations and AI server and client management for its on-premises and cloud systems, framed around data infrastructure and operations. PRO/II isn't mentioned in it, and no PRO/II assistant or MCP server was found on AVEVA's product page or docs as of this check.

What an integration for PRO/II could do

  • Read stream and unit results from a PRO/II case through the SimulationClient and write them into a heat and material balance table.
  • Change a column specification or feed rate, rerun the case and compare product purities with the previous run.
  • Generate a keyword input file for a refinery preheat train from a list of exchangers and streams, for an engineer to load and check.
  • Run a batch of cases with different crude assays and collect the key results in Excel.

Know of one, or building one?

If an MCP server or agent skill for PRO/II exists, tell us and we'll check it and list it. You can also ask for one, which helps builders see demand.

Questions

Is there a PRO/II MCP server?

No, not as of 4 November 2026. The nearest AVEVA simulator with one is AVEVA Process Simulation, through the academic APS-Agent project.

Where is the PRO/II automation reference?

In the online help that comes with the program, opened from Help, Contents. AVEVA's public docs site documents the Integration Service SimulationClient, which works with PRO/II simulations.

What is the current PRO/II version?

AVEVA's 2026 Unified Engineering on CONNECT release notes list AVEVA PRO/II Simulation 2025 (64-bit).

AI-generated models, drawings and results must be checked by a qualified engineer before use.
