CHEMCAD AI integrations
No MCP server or agent skill for CHEMCAD is listed yet (checked 4 Nov 2026). No MCP server or skill for CHEMCAD is listed yet. Datacor, which absorbed Chemstations and now sells CHEMCAD under its own name, documents COM and OPC data exchange, two-way Excel links and MATLAB custom units, so a server could follow the COM pattern used by the Aspen Plus and HYSYS servers on this site. CHEMCAD's manuals sit behind Datacor's customer login.
How AI connects to CHEMCAD
An MCP server or skill can only do what CHEMCAD lets programs do. CHEMCAD exposes 2 automation interfaces:
- COM and OPC data exchange (COM automation): Datacor lists COM and OPC among the protocols CHEMCAD supports for exchanging data with other applications. COM is the hook an MCP server would use on Windows, in the same way the community Aspen servers wrap Aspen's COM interface; OPC suits linking a running simulation to plant or control-system data. The detailed object reference is in the CHEMCAD documentation on Datacor's support portal, which needs a customer login. Documentation
- Excel links, VBA and MATLAB custom units (Other): CHEMCAD can link Excel workbooks for two-way data exchange and calculation control, run VBA and Excel wrappers around simulations, and call custom unit operations written in Excel, C or MATLAB. For many teams the quickest agent route is a workbook already wired to CHEMCAD that the agent edits and recalculates. Documentation
What Datacor (formerly Chemstations) offers
Chemstations has operated under the Datacor name since August 2025. Datacor's Winter 2026 product release talks about new AI-driven capabilities in general terms but names no AI feature, assistant or MCP server for CHEMCAD, and the CHEMCAD product pages don't mention AI as of this check.

What an integration for CHEMCAD could do
- Change feed conditions or column specifications in an open CHEMCAD flowsheet over COM, rerun and report the product streams.
- Drive a case study from an Excel workbook linked to CHEMCAD and tabulate how energy use moves with reflux ratio.
- Write and test a MATLAB or Excel custom unit operation for a reactor model CHEMCAD lacks.
- Pull simulated values into a plant-data comparison through the OPC link and list the largest deviations.
Know of one, or building one?

Questions
Is there a CHEMCAD MCP server?
No, not as of 4 November 2026, from Datacor or the community.
Who makes CHEMCAD now?
Datacor, which bought Chemstations in 2021. Chemstations has traded under the Datacor name since 29 August 2025, and chemstations.com now redirects to Datacor's CHEMCAD pages.
Can CHEMCAD be automated from Python?
Datacor's public pages list COM, OPC, Excel and MATLAB links but don't mention Python. A Python COM client is the likely route, but check CHEMCAD's own documentation first.
AI-generated models, drawings and results must be checked by a qualified engineer before use.
