gPROMS AI integrations
No MCP server or agent skill for gPROMS is listed yet (checked 4 Nov 2026). Nothing is listed for gPROMS yet. Siemens sells gPROMS Process, FormulatedProducts, Utilities and gFLARE as equation-based modelling tools, but its public pages document no API, and the former PSE site that described the gO: interfaces for MATLAB, CAPE-OPEN and command-line runs no longer resolves. An agent integration would most likely start from model files and command-line runs.
How AI connects to gPROMS
An MCP server or skill can only do what gPROMS lets programs do. gPROMS exposes 2 automation interfaces:
- Equation-based models and the gO: interfaces (Other): gPROMS builds models from equations rather than fixed unit blocks, which suits an agent that writes and edits model text. Process Systems Enterprise used to publish product pages for gO:MATLAB (calling a whole gPROMS model as a MATLAB function), gO:CAPE-OPEN (running gPROMS models inside flowsheeting tools such as Aspen Plus and PRO/II) and gO:Run (executing a gPROMS activity from the command line). Those pages went offline with the old PSE domain, and Siemens's gPROMS pages don't replace them, so check the documentation shipped with your licence. Documentation
- Command-line runs from other tools (SimSinter) (Command line): The CCSI toolset documents SimSinter, which runs gPROMS models through gO:Run_XML so that other programs, such as its FOQUS framework, can call them in batches. It is third-party documentation, not Siemens's, but it shows the file-in, results-out pattern an MCP server could copy. Documentation
What Siemens (formerly Process Systems Enterprise) offers
Siemens's gPROMS pages describe equation-based modelling and integration with plant data, but mention no AI assistant, copilot or MCP server. Siemens's broader Industrial Copilot work doesn't name gPROMS in the sources checked. No official or community AI integration for gPROMS was found as of this check.

What an integration for gPROMS could do
- Write or modify a gPROMS model section from a description of a reactor or separation unit, keeping variables, equations and boundary conditions consistent.
- Prepare a batch of command-line runs over a parameter grid and collect key outputs into one table.
- Check a model for degrees of freedom and missing specifications before it goes to the solver.
- Run a gPROMS unit inside an Aspen Plus or PRO/II flowsheet through CAPE-OPEN and compare its results against a built-in unit.
Know of one, or building one?
If an MCP server or agent skill for gPROMS exists, tell us and we'll check it and list it. You can also ask for one, which helps builders see demand.

Questions
Is there a gPROMS MCP server?
No, not as of 4 November 2026, from Siemens or the community.
Is gPROMS still sold?
Yes. Siemens lists gPROMS Process, gPROMS FormulatedProducts, gPROMS Utilities, gPROMS for sustainability, gPROMS for research and teaching, and gFLARE on its product pages.
Where is gPROMS automation documented?
Not publicly at the moment. The PSE pages that covered gO:MATLAB, gO:CAPE-OPEN and gO:Run are offline, so use the manuals installed with gPROMS or ask Siemens support.
AI-generated models, drawings and results must be checked by a qualified engineer before use.
