What it can do
- Opens a .bkp simulation, runs it, and gets or sets any value by its variable-tree path, such as a stream temperature or a component flow.
- An optional enhanced mode adds and deletes blocks, adds streams, connects them to block ports and saves the file.
- Names Mixer, Heater, Flash2, RadFrac, DSTWU, RPlug, RCSTR and RYield as the supported block types.
Limitations
- Windows only, because it drives Aspen Plus through its COM interface; you need your own Aspen Plus installation.
- A small tool set (five basic tools, five more in enhanced mode); everything else goes through raw tree paths, so you need to know Aspen's node names.
- The README doesn't state which Aspen Plus versions were tested.
