MicroStation MCP Serverby Bentley Systems
Bentley's early-access server that gives an AI client MicroStation's Python API to read, create and modify elements in the open DGN.
Bentley publishes an official MicroStation MCP server, but only in early access: you request it, and it hands an AI client MicroStation's Python API to read and change elements in the open DGN. One community server covers the older MicroStation V8i through a native MDL pipe or COM, and AUTOM8LABS ships a skill for its own MicroStation connector. Everything here drives a running, licensed copy on Windows; nothing reads DGN files on its own.

A community server for the older MicroStation V8i that drives it through a native MDL pipe or COM, with Vietnamese cadastral tools.
Operator skills that teach Claude, ChatGPT or Codex to use AUTOM8LABS's AutoCAD, Navisworks and MicroStation connectors economically.
Listings are sorted by origin, then by recent activity. GitHub data is refreshed nightly. Nothing here is ranked.
An MCP server or skill can only do what MicroStation lets programs do. MicroStation exposes 2 automation interfaces:
Bentley's MCP servers page lists a MicroStation MCP server in early access for a restricted set of users, exposing the Python API with read, write and create access and naming Claude and GitHub Copilot as clients. Inside the product, Bentley Copilot (on by default, opt-out at install) helps users learn the software and interact with the model, and a Python Assistant generates scripts from prompts. Bentley calls MicroStation and STAAD.Pro the first servers in a wider rollout.

Taken from the listings' own documentation. Check each listing for exactly what it supports.
The listings here document setup for ChatGPT, Claude, Claude Code, Claude Desktop, Codex, Cursor, GitHub Copilot and Google Antigravity. Install steps, copied from each project's own documentation, are on each listing's page. Most MicroStation integrations run on your own computer next to MicroStation, so you need MicroStation installed and licensed on the same machine unless the listing says otherwise.
Yes. Bentley lists a MicroStation MCP server on its MCP servers page, in early access for a restricted group of users. You request access through Bentley's form; there is no public download or install guide yet.
Bentley names Claude and GitHub Copilot as compatible with its MicroStation server, which works on the active design through the Python API. Without early access, the community server here connects Claude Desktop to MicroStation V8i, not to current CONNECT Edition releases.
Bentley says its Python execution environment blocks internet and file-system access outside the active design, but warns that some key-ins called through MCP may still reach the file system. Work on copies of DGN files and review what the agent changes.
Bentley's MCP page doesn't say. OpenRoads Designer is built on MicroStation, but the page lists only MicroStation, STAAD.Pro and request-only servers for ProjectWise, iTwin IoT, AssetWise and the PLS products.
AI-generated models, drawings and results must be checked by a qualified engineer before use.
