fpga-mcpby wmm246
One MCP server for Vivado, Quartus and Anlogic TD with 689 typed tools sent over a Tcl socket.
Quartus has no downloadable official MCP server yet. Altera announced QuartusIQ, an AI companion for Quartus Prime Pro with an MCP interface, in October 2026. Community servers call the Quartus command-line executables (quartus_sh, quartus_map, quartus_sta, quartus_pgm) on Windows, and two multi-vendor FPGA servers also cover Vivado. Check versions closely: several target Quartus II 9.1 or 13.1 for teaching boards, one auto-detects 13.1 to Prime Lite 24.x, and Prime Pro is barely covered.
One MCP server for Vivado, Quartus and Anlogic TD with 689 typed tools sent over a Tcl socket.
A paid, closed-source FPGA MCP server with Free, Pro and Max tiers for Vivado, Quartus and Anlogic TD.
An 89-tool Quartus MCP server that finds every installed Quartus version and lets the agent switch between them.
A Node.js MCP server for Quartus II 9.1 lab work: VWF waveforms, simulation, pin presets and programming.
A small Quartus MCP server for digital-logic lab work in Quartus II 9.1: compile, VWF simulation, reports.
An MCP server with 38 tools for Quartus II 13.1 on Windows: projects, compile, pins, timing and JTAG.
A Codex skill that walks the agent from VHDL to a simulated, pinned Quartus II 9.1 project.

An MCP server or skill can only do what Quartus lets programs do. Quartus exposes 2 automation interfaces:
On 21 October 2026 Altera announced QuartusIQ, described as an AI expert companion for Quartus Prime Pro that connects AI agents to the Quartus environment through an open Model Context Protocol interface, reads the active project, works with customer-chosen models and runs in the cloud or on premises. No downloadable server or documentation was found, so it isn't listed here yet.

The listings here document setup for Claude, Claude Code, Cline, Codex, Continue, Cursor and WorkBuddy. Install steps, copied from each project's own documentation, are on each listing's page. Most Quartus integrations run on your own computer next to Quartus, so you need Quartus installed and licensed on the same machine unless the listing says otherwise.
Not one you can download as of 4 November 2026. Altera's QuartusIQ announcement describes an MCP interface for Quartus Prime Pro, but every Quartus server listed here is a community project.
They vary widely. Two target Quartus II 9.1 lab boards, one targets Quartus II 13.1, one detects installs from 13.1 to Prime Lite 24.x, and SynthPilot reports testing Prime Lite 25.1 on Windows. None documents Quartus Prime Pro.
Yes, with a server that calls quartus_sh for the compile flow and quartus_pgm for programming. The agent needs the Quartus bin64 folder path and a USB-Blaster connected to the same Windows machine.
Most don't; they launch the command-line tools for each step. fpga-mcp is different: you start its Tcl server with quartus_sh -t and leave it running.
AI-generated models, drawings and results must be checked by a qualified engineer before use.
