What it can do

  • Detects CST's Python and running Design Environments, connects or launches one, and opens, creates and saves projects.
  • Runs history VBA, the 3D solver and custom Python, lists the result tree, reads 1D results and exports Touchstone data.
  • Previews and runs parameter sweeps with one project per case and CSV summaries.
  • Builds Design Studio schematics with Touchstone blocks, R, L, C, diode and port elements, runs S-parameter tasks and exports the results.
  • Wraps the bbl21 cst-runtime-cli command set as MCP tools.

Limitations

  • Inserting a full 3D Microwave Studio block into a schematic is experimental; the tested link is a Touchstone file.
  • Nonlinear field-circuit co-simulation with incident-field sweeps needs a case-specific template.
  • Example configuration uses the author's own paths; adjust them for your install.
