What it can do
- Connects, opens projects, solves and reads results through cst.interface and cst.results, and writes geometry, materials, ports and monitors into the History List as VBA.
- Adds one-shot workflows such as a patch antenna, solve plus S11, design reports and far-field metric discovery.
- Auto-detects the CST install on any drive and the bundled python_cst_libraries folder.
- Marks tools as read-only or destructive so clients can auto-approve reads and prompt for changes.
- Falls back to returning VBA for manual paste when CST can't be reached.
Limitations
- Windows 10 or 11 with a licensed CST install only.
- The author says the full catalogue isn't a blanket check of advanced CST features; only core paths were tested on CST 2026.
- AGPL licence obligations apply if you modify and redistribute or host it.
