What it can do
- Writes geometry through the History List and reads results through query macros, returning CST's own error text when a step fails.
- Includes a substrate and metal material table, one-step microstrip and coax-probe feeds, and far-field metrics such as gain, HPBW, front-to-back ratio, axial ratio and efficiency.
- Runs server-side parameter sweeps and CST's built-in optimizers, and checks the model before solving for missing ports, monitors and overlapping solids.
- Ships three skills (cst-design, cst-search, cst-stackup) and a design-card library shared with the author's HFSS server.
Limitations
- Can't take over a CST window that is already running; it starts its own CST process.
- A solve can't be stopped mid-run, and only one project is driven at a time.
- Design Studio circuit projects aren't supported.
- Floquet ports, plane waves and lumped elements have no dedicated tools yet and go through raw VBA.
