InfoWorks ICM AI integrations
No MCP server or agent skill for InfoWorks ICM is listed yet (checked 4 Nov 2026). Nobody has published an MCP server or agent skill for InfoWorks ICM yet, and Autodesk hasn't announced one. ICM isn't in the coverage list of Autodesk's documentation-only Product Help MCP server either. What an integration would build on is ICM's own scripting: Ruby scripts that run against the open network, now storable as database items, and an SQL dialect for selecting and updating network objects, both running inside a licensed copy of ICM.
How AI connects to InfoWorks ICM
An MCP server or skill can only do what InfoWorks ICM lets programs do. InfoWorks ICM exposes 2 automation interfaces:
- Ruby scripting (Other): Ruby scripts reach the open network through objects such as WSApplication.current_network and row_objects, so a script can list every node, change field values or run checks. Since 2026.1 a script can be stored as a database item, edited and syntax-checked in the built-in Ruby editor, dragged onto the GeoPlan or attached to a custom action, and its changes can be undone with Edit > Undo. Autodesk's introductory technical note warns that documented classes and methods aren't guaranteed to exist in every version. Documentation
- InfoWorks ICM SQL (Other): ICM implements its own subset of SQL, written as semicolon-separated clauses, to select, deselect and update network objects, including spatial searches, array data and GIS layer fields. Queries can be saved as stored query items and run in batches by dragging a group onto the GeoPlan, and results open as a grid that exports to CSV. That makes SQL a compact, reviewable format for an agent to propose edits in. Documentation
What Autodesk offers
Autodesk has announced no MCP server and no AI assistant for InfoWorks ICM as of this check, and the ICM release notes for 2026.0 to 2026.3 don't mention AI features. The Product Help MCP server covers more than 110 Autodesk products, but its published coverage appendix lists Civil 3D, InfraWorks and other design tools and not InfoWorks ICM, so ICM help answers may be missing.

What an integration for InfoWorks ICM could do
- Write and run a Ruby script that lists network objects, such as every manhole or conduit with a missing field, and reports them before a model run.
- Draft SQL queries that select or update network objects by criteria, so an engineer can test them in the SQL dialog before applying.
- Store reviewed scripts and queries as database items and wire them into custom actions that the team can rerun.
- Export SQL result grids to CSV and summarise them, for example critical pipes or validation failures.

Questions
Is there an InfoWorks ICM MCP server?
No, as of 4 November 2026. GitHub searches found Ruby and SQL utility collections for ICM but no MCP server or agent skill, and Autodesk hasn't announced one.
Can an AI agent write InfoWorks ICM Ruby scripts?
A general coding agent can draft them, but nothing connects it to ICM, so you paste or import the script, run it in the Ruby script editor and check the Script output window. Autodesk notes that not every documented method is guaranteed in every version, so test on a copy of the network.
Does Autodesk's Product Help MCP server cover InfoWorks ICM?
Its published coverage appendix doesn't list InfoWorks ICM. You can ask the server's product list tool which products it knows, since Autodesk says the catalogue can change.
AI-generated models, drawings and results must be checked by a qualified engineer before use.
