What it can do
- Packages a MATLAB function, works out parameter types from an example call and deploys it to MATLAB Production Server as an MCP tool.
- Supports single tools, multi-tool servers, large data and structured inputs.
- Serves read-only reference data such as material properties as MCP resources.
- Registers deployed tools with the server's discovery endpoint and reports metrics; an agent skill lets Claude Code build and deploy tools for you.
Limitations
- Needs MATLAB Compiler, MATLAB Compiler SDK and a MATLAB Production Server licence, not just MATLAB.
- The agent can call only the functions you deploy; it doesn't get a general MATLAB session.
