What it can do

  • Starts a local COMSOL session through MPh without you running mphserver by hand, with an asynchronous start that avoids client timeouts.
  • Opens or creates models, lists and sets parameters, solves, evaluates expressions, exports results and saves.
  • Falls back to a Java bridge and mphserver for remote or isolated sessions.
  • Supports a shared-server mode so you can watch the model in COMSOL Desktop.

Limitations

  • Detecting COMSOL doesn't prove a licence is available; that is only known once a real operation succeeds.
  • The Java bridge must be built with Maven and run with COMSOL's API jars on the classpath.
