Wraps Rockwell's Logix Designer SDK as 39 tools: build projects, generate L5X, go online and run FAT/SAT checks.
Two community MCP servers work with Studio 5000 Logix Designer on Windows, both through Rockwell's Logix Designer SDK and L5X files: rockwell-logix-mcp (v37+, 39 tools, confirm-gated online and download operations, six bundled skills) and an earlier educational prototype that generates L5X routines and empty .ACD projects. Neither is affiliated with Rockwell, whose own AI is the FactoryTalk Design Studio Copilot and the upcoming FactoryTalk Conductor.

A prototype that writes L5X routines, creates .ACD files through the Logix Designer SDK and searches the Studio 5000 help.
Six skills for Logix Designer SDK work: setup and troubleshooting, L5X code generation, commissioning, telemetry and FAT/SAT.

An MCP server or skill can only do what Studio 5000 lets programs do. Studio 5000 exposes 2 automation interfaces:
Rockwell's FactoryTalk Design Studio includes a generative AI Copilot that writes and explains Logix PLC code. On 21 October 2026 Rockwell announced FactoryTalk Conductor, an AI orchestration platform that will integrate with Studio 5000 Logix Designer at launch and accept Rockwell-provided or customer-built agents and customer language models; it is expected in the first quarter of 2027. The announcement doesn't mention MCP.

The listings here document setup for Claude Desktop and Cursor. Install steps, copied from each project's own documentation, are on each listing's page. Most Studio 5000 integrations run on your own computer next to Studio 5000, so you need Studio 5000 installed and licensed on the same machine unless the listing says otherwise.
No. Rockwell's AI offers are the Copilot in FactoryTalk Design Studio and FactoryTalk Conductor, due in early 2027. Both Studio 5000 servers here state they aren't affiliated with Rockwell.
rockwell-logix-mcp has download, go-online and mode-change tools, but each returns a dry-run plan unless called with confirm=true. Its README warns that a download overwrites the running program and a move to Run energises outputs.
