SESAM AI integrations

No MCP server or agent skill for SESAM is listed yet (checked 4 Nov 2026). No MCP server or agent skill exists for DNV's Sesam suite, and DNV has announced no AI assistant for it. A GitHub project called Sesam_MCP is for the unrelated Sesam.io data hub. Sesam is well placed for one, though: DNV publishes MIT-licensed Python packages that run Sesam Core, Wasim and Sestra as workflow commands locally or in DNV's cloud, and GeniE models can be scripted in JavaScript.

How AI connects to SESAM

An MCP server or skill can only do what SESAM lets programs do. SESAM exposes 2 automation interfaces:

  • Sesam Python workflows (OneWorkflow, dnv-sesam-commands) (Python): DNV's Sesam Python help library describes OneWorkflow as the core of its Python workflows. A command holds the input for one Sesam application and runs it from Python, locally or on DNV's OneCompute cloud. The dnv-sesam-commands package on PyPI (5.23.1.0, MIT licence, Python 3.10 to 3.12) wraps Sesam Core, Wasim and Sestra, and SifIO reads Sesam interface files.   • GeniE JavaScript scripts (Other): GeniE, Sesam's modelling tool, runs script files with a .js extension. DNV's GeniE snack pack (revision 6, 2015) ships utilities in eight categories as script files and invites users to learn from them and write their own, for example to manage loads and masses. Scripts are the natural format for an agent to propose model changes in GeniE. Documentation

What DNV offers

DNV's Sesam pages describe Python workflows, Sesam Insight for sharing models and results, and cloud runs, but no AI assistant or MCP server as of 4 November 2026. "Sesam Assistance" in the Sesam product list is a training and support service, not an AI feature.

What an integration for SESAM could do

  • Run a Wasim or Sestra analysis as a OneWorkflow command for each load case in a list and collect the result files in one folder.
  • Write a GeniE JavaScript file that adds loads or masses to a jacket model from a table you supply.
  • Read a Sesam interface file with SifIO and report element counts, load cases and maximum utilisations.
  • Queue a batch of fatigue or wave-load runs on OneCompute and track which ones have finished.

Is there a Sesam MCP server?

Not for DNV Sesam. The thevithach/Sesam_MCP repository connects AI assistants to the Sesam.io data integration platform, which is a different product.

Can an AI agent run Sesam analyses?

Any coding agent can call DNV's Python packages to run Sesam Core, Wasim and Sestra commands, provided you have Sesam licences. No ready-made MCP server or skill wraps them yet.

AI-generated models, drawings and results must be checked by a qualified engineer before use.
