Prosper / GAP AI integrations
No MCP server or agent skill for Prosper / GAP is listed yet (checked 4 Nov 2026). No MCP server or agent skill exists for PROSPER, GAP or the rest of Petex's IPM suite, and Petex has announced none. The suite is automated through OpenServer, a COM-style interface built on three commands that Excel, VBA or Python can call, so an MCP server would wrap those commands. For open correlation work that overlaps PROSPER's nodal analysis, see the pyResToolbox servers.
How AI connects to Prosper / GAP
An MCP server or skill can only do what Prosper / GAP lets programs do. Prosper / GAP exposes 2 automation interfaces:
- OpenServer (COM automation): OpenServer lets outside programs use IPM applications as calculation engines. Everything goes through three commands: DoSet to set inputs or options, DoCmd to run a calculation and DoGet to read results, each addressed by a text tag for the variable. Petex's examples drive MBAL predictions over several OOIP values from Excel, and a generic wrapper lets RESOLVE control third-party tools such as Eclipse, HYSYS and tNavigator with the same commands. - RESOLVE workflows (Other): RESOLVE is Petex's integration platform for connecting and automating PROSPER, GAP, MBAL, REVEAL and external applications. It adds a visual workflow layer on top of OpenServer, so many automated studies are built without bespoke code, while scripts can still query results and format reports. Documentation
What Petex offers
Petex's IPM product pages and its recap of the 2026 annual user meeting describe real-time pressure-transient integration with the Andromeda platform, CCUS and geothermal workflows, but no AI assistant, agent or MCP server, as of 4 November 2026. If Petex releases one, OpenServer's tag-based commands are the obvious foundation.

What an integration for Prosper / GAP could do
- Run a PROSPER sensitivity on tubing size, water cut or gas-lift injection rate through OpenServer and tabulate the resulting operating points.
- Update well models in a GAP network with new test data, solve the network and report which wells are constrained by separator pressure.
- Drive MBAL predictions for a range of OOIP or aquifer cases and return recovery factors in a single table.
- Explain an existing OpenServer macro or Python script line by line, including the variable tags it reads and sets.
Know of one, or building one?
If an MCP server or agent skill for Prosper / GAP exists, tell us and we'll check it and list it. You can also ask for one, which helps builders see demand.

Questions
Can Claude use PROSPER or GAP?
Not through any published integration. Someone would need to build an MCP server around OpenServer on a Windows machine with an IPM licence; none was found on 4 November 2026.
Does Petex have an AI assistant?
Petex's public product and news pages don't describe one. Check with Petex directly if you have heard otherwise, since release notes for licensed users aren't public.
AI-generated models, drawings and results must be checked by a qualified engineer before use.
