Femap AI integrations
No MCP server or agent skill for Femap is listed yet (checked 4 Nov 2026). No MCP server or agent skill drives Femap yet. Femap has a full COM API that Python can call on Windows, so a server is technically straightforward, but none has been published. Until then, the pyNastran file reader under Nastran can inspect the decks Femap exports and the OP2 results it reads, and the Abaqus and Ansys servers show how comparable bridges work.
How AI connects to Femap
An MCP server or skill can only do what Femap lets programs do. Femap exposes 2 automation interfaces:
- Femap API (COM/OLE) (COM automation): Femap exposes its object model through COM/OLE, used from the built-in API programming window (VBA-style code) or from external programs such as Excel or Python. Scripts can attach to the running Femap session, for example with GetObject(, "femap.model") from Excel. The Custom Tools shipped under the api folder are written against this API and double as worked examples; the API reference opens with F1 in the programming window. Documentation
- Nastran input decks (Input files): Femap is commonly paired with Simcenter Nastran, which reads the same Bulk Data text decks as MSC Nastran. Generating or checking a deck outside Femap, for example with pyNastran, is the file-based alternative to driving the Femap GUI, and it is how the Nastran file reader listed on Tresca could support a Femap workflow today.
What Siemens offers
Siemens' June 2026 release (Femap 2606) expands the Femap and Zaero APIs for in-UI model creation and automation, adds a Teamcenter Active Workspace pane and speeds up large linear-static results. The release notes don't mention an AI assistant for Femap. Siemens runs a public MCP server that searches its own product information and documentation, but it doesn't control Femap.

What an integration for Femap could do
- Attach to a running Femap session through COM and report the model's nodes, elements, properties and materials before an edit.
- Write and run an API script that renumbers entities, applies a naming convention or creates groups from selection rules.
- Build loads and constraints sets from a table of load cases and export a Nastran deck for each.
- Read a solved OP2 and produce a stress envelope summary by property, using the pyNastran file reader alongside Femap.
Know of one, or building one?
If an MCP server or agent skill for Femap exists, tell us and we'll check it and list it. You can also ask for one, which helps builders see demand.

Questions
Is there a Femap MCP server?
No, not as of 4 November 2026, from Siemens or the community. Femap's COM API makes one feasible; submit it to Tresca if you build one.
Can Claude write Femap API scripts?
It can write them, and you can run them from Femap's API programming window or from Python over COM. Without an MCP server Claude can't run them for you or read the results back.
AI-generated models, drawings and results must be checked by a qualified engineer before use.
