What it can do
- Vivado skills for RTL lint, RTL simulation, timing methodology checks, revision control of project files and configuring an IP cell from a plain-language description.
- Hardware debug skills that trigger and read ILA cores and drive VIO probes through Vivado Hardware Manager Tcl.
- Vitis HLS skills that convert MATLAB code to synthesizable C++, restructure code into dataflow and iterate pragmas against performance targets, plus Vitis AI skills for NPU model compilation.
- Ships worked design examples alongside most skills.
Limitations
- The Vivado skills need the AMD Vivado MCP Server or the Vivado AI VS Code extension for live Vivado access; the HLS skills call v++ and vitis-run directly instead.
- The vitis-embedded skill is marked beta by AMD.
- Installing both the plugin and individual skills loads every skill twice.
