What it can do

  • Loads the engine assemblies from DWSIM.app inside the server process; the DWSIM app doesn't need to be running and isn't modified.
  • Tools for compounds and property packages, pumps, compressors, heaters, valves, heat exchangers, reactors, rigorous columns and recycles, plus solving and result inspection.
  • Passes the solver's own error list back word for word, so a failed solve isn't reported as zeros.
  • A `run_script` tool runs C# against the open flowsheet for anything the other tools don't cover; flowsheets save as `.dwxmz` files that open in the DWSIM GUI.

Limitations

  • macOS only (Apple Silicon through Rosetta, or Intel), with DWSIM installed at /Applications/DWSIM.app; setup installs mono through Homebrew.
  • Steady state only; dynamics, optimisation sweeps and costing are not covered yet.
  • One flowsheet per session.
