What it can do
- Lists schematic components and nets and traces pin-level connections from a kicad-cli netlist.
- Reads track lengths, vias, design rules, differential-pair matching and ground coverage when installed into KiCad's own Python with the pcbnew module.
- Runs ERC and DRC headlessly through kicad-cli, which suits CI.
- Detects pin conflicts and generates device-tree files and pytest hardware tests from a design.
- Searches an open parts registry (PartReel by default) and downloads symbols, footprints and 3D models into the project.
Limitations
- Installed into system Python instead of KiCad's, it falls back to text parsing and loses precise lengths, design rules and integrity checks.
- Works on saved files; it doesn't connect to an open KiCad window.
- GitHub doesn't detect a licence file; MIT is stated in the README.
