What it can do
- Ships as one Rust binary installed through KiCad's Plugin and Content Manager, with about 226 tools grouped into 21 toolsets that load on demand.
- Edits the PCB through KiCad 10's IPC API, so changes appear live and sit in KiCad's undo history; schematics are edited directly as .kicad_sch files with atomic writes.
- Runs ERC, DRC and manufacturing exports through kicad-cli, and adds design-review audits such as decoupling and power-rail checks.
- Includes a Specctra DSN/SES loop with Freerouting and installs bundled KiCad skills and agents with "konnect init".
Limitations
- Closed source and in beta. Free for everyone until 1.0; after that, businesses need a paid licence and personal, hobby and open-hardware users need a free key.
- KiCad 10 only; it doesn't use the SWIG bindings that KiCad 9 projects relied on.
- No release was listed on the Konnect-EDA GitHub releases page at this check. The earlier AGPL-3.0 Konnect repository is archived and read-only.
