What it can do

Answers schedule questions from P6's last F9 run, including critical and driving paths, float origin, look-ahead windows and milestone variance against the baseline.
Runs the DCMA 14-point check with the thresholds stored in the P6 project, and compares two updates or an update against a baseline activity by activity.
Runs what-if scenarios and Monte Carlo schedule risk in memory with its own CPM engine, after reporting how closely that engine matches P6's dates.
Optionally edits durations, logic, constraints, actuals, units and UDFs in the database, each one as a dry run first, then applied after confirmation with a backup and an edit log entry.
Analyses XER files without P6 or a P6 database in an XER-only mode, and exports an Excel dashboard.

Limitations

Windows 10 or 11 only; the release installer isn't code signed yet.
Writes go straight to the database and bypass P6's application logic, so P6 must be closed and you reschedule (F9) afterwards; planned dates and float are never written.
P6 EPPM and P6 Professional on SQL Server or Oracle databases are not supported.
ChatGPT routes (Codex, Secure MCP Tunnel) are documented but not tested by the maintainer.

Install

Download P6MCP-Setup-<version>.exe from Releases, check it against SHA256SUMS.txt, run it, pick your P6 database in the Settings window that opens, then restart your MCP client. The installer can register the server with the MCP clients it finds.
