What it can do
- claude-eda init creates a project with .claude commands, agents and skills, a CLAUDE.md, a design-constraints.json and an .mcp.json.
- Configures a JLCPCB/LCSC sourcing server plus KiCad PCB and schematic MCP servers, and can install the KiCad ones.
- Adds /eda slash commands for requirements, sourcing, schematic, layout, checks and export.
- Its doctor command checks KiCad, Node.js and IPC API settings and can switch the IPC API on.
Limitations
- A setup tool; the actual KiCad editing is done by the MCP servers it installs.
- GitHub doesn't detect a licence file; MIT is stated in the README.
- The README installs it with npm install -g claude-eda, but no claude-eda package was found on the npm registry at this check.
Install
