What it can do
- Replaces GUI automation with a small Abaqus plug-in that polls a job folder and runs each script in the CAE kernel, so variables persist between calls and no window focus is needed.
- Returns each script's printed output and tracebacks as OK or FAILED.
- Finds installed Abaqus versions and can launch CAE with the plug-in, with or without a GUI.
- Looks up live API docstrings and members with a read-only describe tool, matching the installed version.
Limitations
- A fork of jianzhichun/abaqus-mcp-server with few users so far.
- Headless mode still checks out a CAE licence, and the HTTP transport needs a token for any non-loopback address.
- The execute tool runs any code it receives.
