What it can do
- Reports project length units, plan descriptions and selected project and plan metadata.
- Reads only from project roots you list in RAS_MCP_ALLOWED_ROOTS; nothing is trusted by default.
- Opens files beyond the Windows 260-character path limit through extended-length paths.
- Designed to run inside a subagent that returns compact answers with source file and versions.
Limitations
- Doesn't run HEC-RAS, modify projects, read HDF or DSS results or inspect geometry; those tasks go through the ras-commander Python library instead.
- The author recommends exposing its tools only to an isolated subagent, which needs host support.
- Independent project, not affiliated with USACE HEC.
