What it can do
- Connects to the Civil 3D session already open on the machine, with no plug-in to load.
- Lists surfaces with elevation statistics, samples an elevation at a point and lists surface definition items such as breaklines and boundaries.
- Reports alignment geometry, station and offset of a point, profiles and corridor baselines and regions.
- Creates lines, 3D polylines and COGO points.
Limitations
- The author labels it a research project, unofficial and not from Autodesk; COGO point creation is marked work in progress.
- Civil 3D must be open with a drawing loaded before the server starts.
- Needs pythonnet to load Civil 3D's managed assemblies; set CIVIL3D_BIN_PATH if they are not found.
