PLECS-MCPby Supertaskchat
Wraps all 22 PLECS Standalone JSON-RPC methods as MCP tools, with model checks, plots and FFT/THD post-processing.
Two community MCP servers drive PLECS Standalone through its built-in XML-RPC/JSON-RPC server, which must be switched on in Preferences and only accepts connections from the same computer. PLECS-MCP wraps all 22 RPC methods of PLECS 5.0 and adds model checks, plots and FFT/THD analysis; a smaller server maps 11 calls for PLECS 4.7. Neither covers PLECS Blockset in Simulink, and Plexim has announced no AI features.

Maps PLECS 4.7 Standalone XML-RPC calls one to one onto 11 MCP tools for loading, simulating and analysing models.
Listings are sorted by origin, then by recent activity. GitHub data is refreshed nightly. Nothing here is ranked.
An MCP server or skill can only do what PLECS lets programs do. PLECS exposes 2 automation interfaces:
Plexim's PLECS documentation and site describe scripting through Octave, MATLAB and the RPC interface, and no Plexim announcement of an AI assistant, LLM feature or MCP server turned up as of this check. The PLECS MCP servers are community projects built on the documented RPC interface.

Taken from the listings' own documentation. Check each listing for exactly what it supports.
The listings here document setup for Claude Code, Claude Desktop, Codex, Cursor and VS Code (GitHub Copilot). Install steps, copied from each project's own documentation, are on each listing's page. Most PLECS integrations run on your own computer next to PLECS, so you need PLECS installed and licensed on the same machine unless the listing says otherwise.
No. Plexim documents the RPC interface the community servers use, but it hasn't announced an AI or MCP product.
Yes, with PLECS Standalone open on the same computer, RPC enabled in Preferences, and one of the two servers installed there. PLECS-MCP can also start PLECS for you when the RPC port is closed.
No. Plexim's documentation says Blockset is scripted from MATLAB and has no built-in RPC interface, so both servers need PLECS Standalone.
PLECS-MCP was checked against PLECS 5.0.7, where it covers all 22 RPC methods. The haitangccy server was written for PLECS 4.7 Standalone over XML-RPC on port 1080. Both expect a valid PLECS licence on the machine.
AI-generated models, drawings and results must be checked by a qualified engineer before use.
