Virtual Test Bed Assistantby Idaho National Laboratory
INL's skills-only plugin that finds Virtual Test Bed reactor models and drafts MOOSE-based inputs from real VTB examples.
Idaho National Laboratory publishes the only listing: the Virtual Test Bed Assistant, a skills-only plugin for Claude Code, claude.ai and ChatGPT that finds VTB reactor models and drafts input files for ten MOOSE-based applications from real VTB examples. It doesn't run MOOSE. INL's research agent MOOSEnger, which does validate and execute inputs, is described in papers but has no public release.

Listings are sorted by origin, then by recent activity. GitHub data is refreshed nightly. Nothing here is ranked.
An MCP server or skill can only do what MOOSE lets programs do. MOOSE exposes 2 automation interfaces:
INL researchers describe MOOSEnger, a MOOSE agent that combines knowledge retrieval, HIT-aware parsing, language-server diagnostics and local or MCP-backed validation and execution (arXiv 2603.04756, revised 23 September 2026), and a follow-up on locally hosted models demonstrated on a Virtual Test Bed problem (arXiv 2608.15881, August 2026). No public MOOSEnger repository was found. INL's released AI tool is the VTB Assistant plugin.

Taken from the listings' own documentation. Check each listing for exactly what it supports.
The listings here document setup for ChatGPT, Claude Code and claude.ai. Install steps, copied from each project's own documentation, are on each listing's page. Most MOOSE integrations run on your own computer next to MOOSE, so you need MOOSE installed and licensed on the same machine unless the listing says otherwise.
Not a public one. INL's MOOSEnger papers describe MCP-backed validation and execution, but the code isn't released. GitHub repositories named "Moose MCP" are for unrelated projects.
It searches a bundled snapshot of the VTB repository, explains model documentation, and generates or modifies input files for ten MOOSE-based apps, but only for couplings that a VTB input already demonstrates. It has no server and doesn't run MOOSE.
Yes, with care. The VTB Assistant grounds new inputs in real VTB examples, and INL's MOOSEnger results show that unchecked one-shot generation rarely runs: in their benchmark, a bare model produced executable inputs in only 5% of cases, against about 90% with the full harness.
Download the plugin zip from the vtb-assistant-pack-latest release and extract it into your Claude Code skills folder, or upload the skill zip to claude.ai or ChatGPT.
AI-generated models, drawings and results must be checked by a qualified engineer before use.
