gmat-mcp (Guy2Es)by Guy2Es
Builds GMAT missions from a declarative spec, compiles them to scripts and runs them in an isolated worker through the GMAT API.
Two community MCP servers work with NASA's GMAT. One lets the agent write mission scripts, run them headless through GmatConsole, read classified errors and fix them, backed by a pitfalls list, sample scripts and documentation search. The other builds missions from a declarative spec, compiles them to GMAT scripts and runs them through the GMAT Python API in a worker process. Neither comes from the GMAT team, and both were developed on Windows with GMAT R2025a or R2026a.

Lets the agent write GMAT mission scripts, run them headless through GmatConsole and fix what breaks, with a gotchas list.
Listings are sorted by origin, then by recent activity. GitHub data is refreshed nightly. Nothing here is ranked.
An MCP server or skill can only do what GMAT lets programs do. GMAT exposes 2 automation interfaces:
GMAT is developed by NASA and documented on its project wiki, where the current release is R2026a. The wiki and download pages describe the application, its plugins and the Python API but no AI assistant or MCP server as of this check. One community server describes its aim as turning GMAT into a tool an agent can use rather than talk about.

Taken from the listings' own documentation. Check each listing for exactly what it supports.
The listings here document setup for Claude Code, Claude Desktop and Cursor. Install steps, copied from each project's own documentation, are on each listing's page. Most GMAT integrations run on your own computer next to GMAT, so you need GMAT installed and licensed on the same machine unless the listing says otherwise.
Two community servers: gmat-mcp-server by ginomoretta-creator (TypeScript, ISC licence) and gmat-mcp by Guy2Es (Python, MIT, alpha 0.1.0). Neither is published by NASA's GMAT team.
gmat-mcp-server was tested with GMAT R2025a, and gmat-mcp with R2026a on Windows 10, with a Docker worker for Linux. Both need GMAT installed separately.
Yes. Register gmat-mcp-server in Claude Code with claude mcp add and point GMAT_BIN at the GMAT bin folder; its runGmat tool runs a script headless and returns the outcome and report files.
AI-generated models, drawings and results must be checked by a qualified engineer before use.
