What it can do
- Computes polars over a list of angles of attack at a given Reynolds and Mach number.
- Returns CSV with alpha, CL, CD and CM first, keeping any extra XFOIL columns.
- Records the working directory and metadata for each run so you can trace which inputs produced a polar.
- Ships a cosine-spaced NACA 2412 sample and a Docker recipe that avoids building XFOIL natively.
Limitations
- Last updated in November 2025, with few users so far.
- Building XFOIL natively on macOS or Linux needs X11 headers; the Docker route avoids this.
- The README's uvx xfoil-mcp command assumes a PyPI package that wasn't published at this check; install from the Git URL.
