What it can do

  • Counts, groups and sums weights by profile, material, assembly or any UDA, with paging for models of 400,000+ objects.
  • Creates, modifies and deletes parts, connections and components, returning a plan first and writing only when called again with apply set to true; changed objects are tagged with an MCP_ORIGIN UDA.
  • Lists, checks, issues and prints drawings and edits views, dimensions and marks (experimental), and can return a picture of the open view or drawing to the assistant.
  • Runs C# scripts against the Open API after checking them, with mutating scripts allowed only when the hash of the approved source matches.

Limitations

  • Each release zip is built for one Tekla version, so you download the one that matches your install.
  • The drawing tools are experimental, and some write tools in v0.9.0 have not yet been run on a live Tekla.
  • With several copies of the same Tekla version open, the server can't choose between them; on 2024 and later it doesn't reconnect after a Tekla restart yet.
